What makes Katrina Rose an expert on depression when she's not a psychiatrist or therapist, and when her degrees are in the marketing, business communications, and real estate? Her qualifications come from nothing than the recognition and realization that, like many, she's not a stranger to depression. It has come and gone throughout her life as long as she can remember. Depression shouldn't be an ugly word. Katrina Rose suffers from depression, except through her struggles she has found light at the end of a very dark tunnel when she wrote: How to Get Out of Depression (Body, Mind, Soul). Depression can happen to intuitive people, maybe even more so, who knows, but it can happen to all of us. Being intuitive sometimes can wear a person down, if they are attacked spiritually from unseen forces, or sometimes just the muck and Meijer of our everyday lives. Help is here, because Katrina Rose wants to share with everyone who is struggling with depression the tools which helped her to clime her way out of the depression pit. 5.0 out of 5 stars Validation and simple, yet amazingly effective tools to fight depression in today's world By Leslie
Katrina's book is a quick read with a lot of insight, intuitive views on the mind and how it works in various situations but also a great amount of heart and true understanding of how depression can weigh us down. Within the chapters are numerous validations of how the world around us operates now--and how we choose to interact with it. The challenge that this author gives us is to do the simplest of things daily to build our strength and fight off depression with the tools that have always been inside us. I recommend this book as a real-life affirmation and one that doesn't condescend its readers with run-of-the-mill psychobabble. It will speak to you and truly tell you--you can will be BETTER than okay.
Depression can be cyclical. It sometimes seems to get better, for awhile. Then it knocks you for a loop one more time. Beating this downward spiral is possible through an improvement process of self-supportive and healthy habits. It takes "standing up and brushing yourself off" every time you fall. These are tried and true practices, researched and thought out by someone who has been there. I put this guide on my phone, marking the pages that I want to refer to again and again. Thank you Katrina Rose for giving us the clearest path I have seen to date.
Everyone gets depressed from time to time, but some of us need help getting out of the depression pit. This book is straightforward about how to overcome depression by achieving wholeness within our body, mind, and soul.
